Bless the v1.8.0 node binary (blake3 a3f9…70d2) so bonded nodes will honor the auto-update. The release ships a cross-encoder rerank rewrite (~2.1× faster /v1/context) and a lower-latency witness path.
v1.8.0 rewrites the rerank stage to stream top-K candidates through the cross-encoder in batches, cutting median /v1/context latency from 41ms to ~19ms at p50 on reference hardware, with no change to ranking quality on our eval set.
The witness path now signs and gossips observations in a single round, shrinking time-to-consensus for fresh facts. ed25519 signing and the BFT acceptance rule are unchanged, only the transport is tighter.
Approving this proposal sets isApproved(0xa3f9…70d2) = true on-chain. Nodes check the hash before applying the auto-broadcast release, so the update only rolls out once stake-weighted consensus is reached.
